Who is the Network?

A partnership of individuals, groups, and organizations from public, private and nonprofit sectors dedicated to elevating awareness and capacity for community wealth building (CWB) efforts in the Denver metro region.  

What is the mission of the Network?

To mobilize, facilitate, and coordinate community wealth building efforts with the practical objectives of widening community education on economic alternatives, enhancing diverse participation and fostering viable projects for the creation of just and sustainable jobs in the region.

What defines community wealth building?

Strategies that lift whole communities, both economically and socially by
  • empowering communities
  • creating and maintaining dignified jobs in locally grounded businesses
  • reshaping and strengthening the framework of inclusivity
  • social entrepreneurship
  • employee ownership
  • cooperatives
  • investing for social impact
  • public banking 
  • time banking
  • housing collectives
  • land trusts
  • other creative, still-emerging strategies.

Key Responsibilities of the Network

  1. Educate- Through research, case studies, expert speakers, and events, boost the region’s knowledge about community wealth building strategies.  

  2. Raise Awareness - Provide information about community wealth building initiatives and opportunities in Metro Denver, as well as celebrate success stories of community wealth building's economic and social impact in Metro Denver and beyond.

  3. Build Relationships - As a central hub for the community wealth building movement, the Network will connect individuals and organizations to build community wealth building capacity.
