Denver Anchor Network

CCWB engages Anchor Institutions that want to leverage their economic power to help close the racial

wealth gap through their
procurement, hiring, and investment practices.

CCWB’s Denver Anchor Network (DAN) brings anchor institutions together to:
  • Learn about anchor mission work
  • Cultivate peer relationships across institutions, and
  • Co-create a path forward to an economy that works for everyone

DAN participants have access to:
  • A learning community of peers during monthly virtual Town Halls and in the Procurement Working Group
  • Support connecting to local, BIPOC-owned businesses; workforce partners; and investment opportunities
  • Individual coaching
  • Project implementation support
  • Repository of tools and resources
  • Building an ethos of inclusive economic development in metro Denver

Expectations of DAN participants:
  • Desire to leverage institutional business practices to create greater economic opportunities in low-income communities of color
  • Willingness to share practices and learnings (mistakes, reflections, & processes) with peers
  • Commitment to being an internal champion of the Anchor Mission approach
