Networking and Release Party
Thursday, June 18
4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Westwood Food Cooperative's new space
3732 Morrison Road

We are very excited for the second Community Wealth Building Network gathering in 2015. Re:Vision is hosting the event in their newly acquired space that will be the future home of the Westwood Food Cooperative. We will see, first hand, Re:Vision's community wealth building accomplishments, and hear about their plans and current challenges.
We are also celebrating and highlighting the completion of the CWB Network's first official product - the Finance Working Group that formed at the Network's February gathering has written a paper titled, "An Introduction to Financing for Cooperatives, Social Enterprises, and Small Business." The paper provides information on financing options for socially minded investors and grassroots entrepreneurs and enterprises. While the paper is admittedly technical, it is most fitting to be releasing it in Westwood, where on-the-ground economic opportunity is coming to fruition - demonstrating how capital deployed strategically in partnership with residents transforms lives and communities.
In addition to beverages and food prepared by the Re:Vision garden promotoras, ample networking time will be enhanced by the music of flamenco guitarist Brint Lukens. There will also be time for attendees to engage current Network working groups that are energized and meeting regularly to move their work forward. Additionally, we will continue with the open agenda format so attendees can suggest conversation topics on the spot and have time to connect with others interested in the topic.
Special thanks to the Beanstalk Foundation. They are helping sponsor this gathering as a way of recognizing and celebrating completion of the Finance Working Group's paper.
Please RSVP so we have the right amount of food and beverages on hand!
